This policy explains what information the Xelon Browser mobile application (com.xelon.browser) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
Xelon Browser (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a web browser for Android published by Advergile LLC (registration no. HE 446069), located at 8010, Paphos, Cyprus. We are the data controller for the information described here.
This policy covers the Xelon Browser Android application only. It does not cover the third-party websites you visit through the browser, or third-party services whose own privacy policies are linked in Section 9. Your use of those sites and services is governed by their policies, not this one.
We do not require registration and do not collect directly identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts. We collect the following, largely automatically, to run the App and its advertising and measurement features:
| Data | What it is | Purpose | Shared with |
|---|---|---|---|
| App-instance IDuid | A random identifier generated on your device at first launch and stored locally. Not derived from any hardware or account identifier. | Distinguish installs and attach analytics events; measure retention. | Our servers |
| Advertising IDGoogle Advertising ID (GAID) | The resettable advertising identifier provided by Google Play services. | Ad serving and measurement; recovering your attribution after a reinstall. | Google (AdMob), our servers |
| Install referrer & campaignPlay Install Referrer | The referrer string Google Play provides about how you found the App (campaign, source). | Attribution — understanding which campaign led to an install. | Our servers |
| Install timestampinstall | The time the App was first installed on the device. | Attribution freshness and analytics. | Our servers |
| Device & app info | Android version, app version, device model and manufacturer, language/region, and network connectivity state. | Compatibility, analytics, and ad serving. | Our servers, Google |
| Push tokenFCM registration token | A token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging that lets us deliver notifications to your device. | Send push notifications (only if you allow the notifications permission). | Google (Firebase), our servers |
| Ad interaction & revenue | Ad impressions, interactions, and estimated per-impression ad revenue. | Measure advertising performance and revenue. | Google (AdMob), our servers |
| Usage events | In-app events such as opening a feature or connecting the proxy, with the fields above attached. | Product analytics and diagnostics. | Our servers |
| Browsing data | History, cookies, cache, open tabs, and downloaded files. | Core browser functionality. | Stored on device only (see Section 8) |
We do not knowingly collect precise (GPS) location, and the App requests no location permission. We do not read your browsing history or the content of the pages you visit onto our servers.
Legal bases (EEA/UK). We rely on your consent for personalized advertising and for push notifications; on our legitimate interests for measurement, analytics, security, and non-personalized advertising; and on legal obligation where the law requires. You can withdraw consent at any time (Section 16).
The App is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To serve and measure ads, Google and its ad partners may collect and process your advertising ID and device information as described in Google’s “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”.
Where required (for example, users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the App presents a Google-certified consent form via the User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown, so you can accept or decline. Where you decline, or where consent is not applicable, ads shown are non-personalized (contextual) to the extent supported.
Note: advertising is disabled in some builds and is enabled only when a live ad account is configured; the practices above apply whenever ads are active.
When you install the App, Google Play may pass along a referrer string (via the Google Play Install Referrer API) that indicates how you found the App — for example, the advertising campaign or source. We store this together with your app-instance ID and install timestamp so we can measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
To keep attribution consistent if you reinstall the App, we may store a small amount of attribution data (such as your campaign/referrer) on our servers keyed to your advertising ID, and read it back on a later install. If your advertising ID is unavailable (for example, you opted out), this recovery does not occur. Requests to our servers are signed to prevent tampering.
If you grant the notifications permission, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to deliver push notifications. This requires a device registration token, which we store to address messages to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in the Android system settings for the App, or decline the permission when prompted — the App remains usable without notifications.
The App includes an optional proxy that, when you enable it, routes your browsing traffic through third-party SOCKS5 proxy servers before it reaches the websites you visit. It is off by default and only active while you turn it on.
While the proxy is on, the operator of the proxy server can observe the destinations you connect to and any traffic that is not encrypted. Content served over HTTPS remains encrypted end-to-end, but connection metadata (such as the destination server) is visible to the proxy operator.
We do not store the content of your proxied browsing on our servers. We do not control third-party proxy operators and cannot guarantee their logging or security practices. Use the proxy only when you accept these conditions.
Your browsing history, cookies, cache, open tabs, saved settings, and downloaded files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us. The App also includes ad- and tracker-blocking (“Ad-guard”) that filters content locally in the browser.
You can clear this data from within the App or through the Android system settings for the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device (data already sent to Google or our servers is governed by Sections 9 and 12).
The App relies on the following third parties, each with its own privacy policy:
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described in this policy: with the service providers in Section 9 to operate the App and its advertising; and where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.
Note that under some laws (such as the California CCPA/CPRA), the use of advertising identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing.” See Section 16 for how to opt out.
We keep the information we collect only as long as needed for the purposes above — typically 24 months for analytics and attribution data — after which it is deleted or aggregated. Advertising data held by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies. Data stored on your device remains until you clear it or uninstall the App.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and signed requests to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including where Google operates. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).
The App is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your information; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. In the EEA/UK you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In California and similar U.S. states, you may request to know or delete your information and to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because we identify data mainly by pseudonymous identifiers rather than your name, to act on a request we may ask you to provide your advertising ID or app-instance ID so we can locate the relevant data.
To exercise any right, contact advergile@gmail.com. You can also exercise the advertising choices in Section 4 directly on your device at any time.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
